BIOS helps in setting the startup process of a computer. In some cases, it is necessary to protect the BIOS settings with a password. This means that unauthorised access to BIOS is blocked. However, since this is something that is done rarely, it is possible to forget your BISO password. This will lock you out at that time when you need to enter the settings.

So, what do you do when you don’t remember a laptop’s BIOS password? n this article, we shall use an Acer, Spin 1 laptop.
Step 1:
Switch on the laptop and before it boots, press F2 to enter BIOS. This will ask you to enter the BIOS password.


Step 2:
Press Enter 3 times without putting a password.

Step 4:
You will be prompted to enter Unlock Password

Step 5:
You will be given an key.

Step 6
In your browser enter https://www.biosbug.com/ then choose Acer 10 digit option

Step 7
Enter the key that was generated on your laptop in the browser and click Send request. A random key will be generated for you.

Step 8
Enter the random key on your laptop and its done.

You now have access to the laptop’s BIOS.
